
National Honor Society Inducts Ten New Members

Wednesday afternoon, the Jal High School Chapter of the National Honor Society inducted ten new members. Following the procession, the Pledge of Allegiance was led by NHS Secretary Cadi Richard. The Call to Order was led by NHS President Sadi Richard. Speaking on NHS core values of scholarship, leadership, service and character were Cadi Richard, Camila Baeza, Yocelin Avila, and Ayden Parker, respectively. New members were introduced by NHS Vice President Camila Baeza. A poem was read by Alejandra Mendoza. New Member Presentation was by Sadi Richard. The Honor Society Pledge, which reads, “I pledge to uphold the high purposes of the National Honor Society to which I have been selected. I will be true to the principles for which it stands: I will be loyal to my school and will maintain and encourage the high standards of scholarship, leadership, service and character” was led by Sadi Richard. Parent Recognition was by Yocelin Avila and Renata Rangel. Recognition of outgoing NHS officers was led by JHS Principal Buddy Little.
New NHS members inducted were Abigail Dardon, Myriam Juarez, Natalie Lara, Paetyn Lujan, Zoe Molina, Maria Perez, Cristian Rangel, Natalia Rivera, Fernando Sauceda and Yanira Sauceda. 2026 NHS Members are: Ebany Aguilar, Braedyn Almanza, Yocelin Avila, Camila Baeza, Johnna Butts, Angel Contreras, Ruby Gallegos, Aaliyah Gaytan, David Gaytan, Isabella Kohorst, Emery Melancon, Alejandra Mendoza, Jaden Mendoza, Ace Moreno, Mayrin Nieto, Miranda Olivo, Ayden Parker, April Peugh, Janice Ramirez, Olivia Ramirez, Renata Rangel, Cadi Richard, Sadi Richard, Oliva Rocha, Jessica Rodriguez, and Yaneli Sauceda. Mrs. Taelor Loftis is the sponsor of the Jal High School Chapter of the National Honor Society. Mrs. Soliz is the assistant sponsor.
