Mary Helen Valles

Mary Helen Valles age 78, passed away on May 9, 2024 in Kermit, TX. She was born on July 18, 1945 in Marfa, TX to Monico and Natalia (Fuentes) Balderrama. Mary married Ricky C. Valles on February 14, 1985 in Lovington, NM and they shared 39 wonderful years together. Mary loved to go shopping, riding motorcycles, and taking care of her grandkids. She also enjoyed dancing and praying the rosary. Mary was a member of the Legion of Mary since 2009. She was known as “Grandma” or “Nena” to her family and will be dearly missed.

She was preceded in death by her parents: Monico and Natalia Balderrama; and one brother. Mary is survived by her husband: Ricky Valles of Jal, NM; son: Michael Gonzales and wife Sonia of Las Cruces, NM; daughter: Michele Gonzales of Jal, NM; brothers: Raul Balderrama and wife Julie of Kermit, TX and Edmundo Balderrama and wife Yolanda of Monahans, TX; sisters: Gloria Balderrama Abila and husband Manuel of Odessa, TX and Nora A. Heidelberg and husband Jerry of Hobbs, NM; and grandchildren: Natalie Gonzales and husband Daniel and Jennifer Gonzales and numerous nieces and nephews.

A rosary took place on Wednesday, May 15, 2024 at 9:00 am MST at St. Cecilia Catholic Church in Jal, NM. Mass was held at 10:00 am MST on Wednesday, May 15, 2024 at St. Cecilia Catholic Church.
