The Lady Panthers (4-15) faced faced Texico Lady Wolverines (5-10) this past Monday at home. The game got off to a good start, with the lead going back and forth early. The Lady Wolverines pulled ahead about halfway through the first period, and with 4 minutes remaining in the first period, Texico led 10-6. The Lady Wolverines continued to build momentum, and by the end of the first period, Texico led 20-8. The Lady Wolverines continued to dominate the game throughout the first half, with only a few bright spots for the Lady Panthers. At halftime, the score was 37-15. The Lady Panthers performed better in the third quarter. At the end of the third, Texico led 45-25. The Lady Panthers continued to play well in the final period, while the Lady Wolverines played poorly, though the difference was not enough to significantly narrow the Lady Wolverine’s substantial lead. Final score was 48-35.
