Lady Panthers beat Loving in three straight

Tuesday evening in the Panther Gym, the Lady Panthers took on the Loving Lady Falcons. The first game was solidly competitive, with the lead going back and forth by one or two for the first several minutes. The Lady Panthers then began to pull ahead steadily, gaining a six-point lead, 15-9. The Lady Panthers continued to gain momentum, pulling ahead 22-11, as the Lady Falcons’ competitiveness early on evaporated. Final score of the first game was 25-14, with a solid win for the Lady Panthers.
In game two of the match, the Lady Panthers continued their pace, pulling ahead 6-1 early on. The Lady Falcons then came roaring back, however, pulling up to within one point of the Lady Panthers, 6-5. Loving then was able to continue to be competitive with the Lady Panthers, with the Panther lead alternating between one and two points through the middle part of the game. The Lady Falcons were able to tie the game up at 17. The Lady Panthers then got things back in gear, pulling back ahead 22-17. The Lady Panthers continued with their overall winning strategy, coming out on top, 25-18.
The third game of the match started out well for the Lady Falcons, with them pulling ahead 3-0. However, the Lady Panthers then battled back to tie the game at 3. The Panthers then proceeded to gain the upper hand, pulling ahead 9-6. The Panthers continued to battle back and forth with at most a three-point lead for the next several volleys, but then started to really turn on the momentum, pulling ahead 22-14. Yamileth Lujan finished the Lady Falcons off with a great serve that hit the net but just went over it, dropping to the floor. Final score was 25-14.
