Elementary Spelling Bee Winners
Jal Elementary recently held its annual spelling bee. Winners this year were Kelley Chapman, first place, followed by runner-up, Steven Conway. Kelley will compete in the Lea County Spelling Bee, along with the winner of the Jal Junior High Spelling Bee. If for any reason she is unable to compete, Steven will compete in her place. The Jal Junior High Spelling Bee was held on November 29th with congratulations to Grettel Portillo who was the winner and to the runner-up, Kynzie Sauceda.
