At the June 19th meeting of the Jal City Council, Community Services Director Chuck Miller gave his monthly report to the council. “Mr. Mayor and Council, here is the Monthly Report for May 2023. We have been preparing for 4th of July festivities, painting and major cleanup. Curb and gutters have been sprayed for weeds. Cemetery has been sprayed for stickers/grass burrs. All grass areas at the parks have been fertilized. AED’s have been installed at City Hall. Vacant lots by softball field have been sprayed for weeds. Weed eating around street signs and fire hydrants is complete. Fountains at the lake have been pressure washed and moved to the middle of the lake. Damaged toilet seat replaced at men’s bathroom at lake. All bathrooms at the lake and north park were cleaned with bleach and pressure washed. Bathrooms at the lake and north park have been sprayed for insects.”
