Dragons, Rams, Pink Sox, Showtime, and Diamond Divas Take First

The Jal Baseball/Softball Youth Tournament was last weekend, finishing the 2026 season. In T-Ball, the ASU Rams, coached by Kelly Deck and Yesenia Locklar, took first place. The Blue Jays, coached by Hayden and Celeste Simmons with assistance from Devin, took second place. The Mini Bananas, coached by Kaytlinne Serna, Justin Lopez, Andrew Green and Melissa Valdez, took third place. The Bear Bears, coached by Skylar Jamison and Sarah Angel, took fourth place.

In the Girls 7-8 Division, the Pink Sox, coached by Crystal Tavarez and Marissa Ward, took first place, followed by the Teal Vipers in second place, coached by Meagan and Kegan Thomasson. In the Boys 7-8 Division, Showtime Baseball, coached by Zack Brandt, took first place. The Rangers, coached by Trevor Thompson, took second. The Renegades, coached by Cory Fulfer and K.C. Taylor, took third place.

In the Girls 9-12 Division, the Diamond Divas, coached by Alfonso Cervantes, took first place. The Outlaws, coached by Julian and Karen Sauceda, took second. The Sandlot Sisters, coached by Luis Navarrette and Michael Maes, took third place. In the Boys 9-12 Division, the Dragons, coached by Tyler Haggie and Menda Vargas, took first place, followed by the Ballerz, coached by Ray Fabela and A.D. Martinez, took second place.
