By John Earp

Tuesday afternoon in the Panther Gym, the JHS JV Boys’ Team took on the JV Dexter Demons. Up until the last few minutes, the game was about as close as could be. With 5 minutes remaining in the fourth period, Jal was ahead 23-22. With just about 4:30 left in the game, a Demon sunk a three-pointer, pulling ahead of the Panthers 25-23. Jayten Butts tied the game at 25 with just under four minutes remaining, which was answered by yet another Demon three-pointer. With 3:17 left to play, Dexter led 28-25. Yet another demonic three-pointer gave Dexter a 31-25 lead with just over two minutes left in the game. The Panthers battled hard in the closing minutes of the game, but the Demons were able to hold onto their lead, even adding a bit to it. Final score was 33-26.
