Jal Police Department Captures Fugitive

On April 15th, 50-year-old Ryan Hobbs of Ft. Worth, Texas was arrested and booked by Jal Police. Hobbs’s vehicle was observed at 10:24 p.m. by Jal Police Officer Cruz Sanchez to be traveling at a high rate of speed on Hwy 128, and was pulled over for 44 mph in a 35 mph zone. After the traffic stop and identification of the driver, dispatch informed Officer Sanchez that Mr. Hobbs had an active warrant out of Tarrant County, Texas, for arson of vehicle. Per the incident report obtained from Jal Police Department, the driver was asked to exit the vehicle and then was placed in hand restraints, transported to Jal Police Department and then on to Lea County Detention Center for Fugitive from Justice Extradition.
