The folding of the flag was done by Adam Juarez and Johnna Butts, explaining what each of the thirteen folds represented, including things such as eternal life, honor, country, trust in God, etc. A video recording was played of Coach Victor Soliz, who had to be out of town due to the Jal High School Football game against Raton that day. He talked about joining the Marines, the core values of God, Country, and family. All the veterans present at the ceremony were honored. Local veteran Tom Edwards spoke to the gathered assembly.
