Ricky Peacock
1. How long have you been an educator? 31st year.
2. What do you love most about being an educator? Seeing students achieve their potential and becoming productive citizens.
3. Why did you choose to become an educator? Was influenced by one of my high school teachers/coach who persuaded me to get into education.
4. What subjects do you teach? Social studies/History and Physical Education. Also am a football and track coach.
5. Where are you from originally? Albany, Texas is my hometown. Grew up on a large cattle ranch with my parents and 3 siblings. Graduated high school there and went on to get my degree from Angelo State University in San Angelo, TX.
6. How long have you been in Jal? This is my first year with Jal ISD.
7. Do you have family with you in Jal? Just my wife and I.
8. What are your most important values in life? My relationship with Christ is first and foremost. Then my relationship with my wife and my family – have 2 daughters who are married and have 5 grandkids who I enjoy spending time with.
9. What do you like most about Jal School District? Getting to know the staff and kids here – they have been very welcoming and helpful to me.
