We are looking forward to seeing you in Jal, September 8, 9, 10, 2023. The reunion is being held in conjunction with the 2nd

Annual Woolworth Memorial Golf Tournament.

This will be the first time we have gathered in Jal since 2005. Jal has seen a lot of changes and additions since then, many great

ones and some not so great such as extreme oilfield traffic.

  • We have a lot going on! There is no registration fee and no formal invitation. Check Facebook as information will be posted on 2023 Jal All School Reunion, on the Jal Bulletin Board and individual pages that class reps are setting up for their classes. If you don’t personally receive a notification but hear about it, please attend, it is for everyone. And please share the information with classmates, family and friends.
  • If you plan to attend please post your name/ class year on the 2023 Jal All School Reunion FB page.
  • There will be no catered meal. Cafes and food trucks will be available. You are on your own for meals. Get a plate at a food truck and take it to the Old Gym, Country Club or your meeting place to eat.
  • There will be free live music Friday and Saturday nights outside at the Country Club. Saturday night dance features Country Western star Gene Watson known for Fourteen Carat Mind, Farewell Party, Love in the Hot Afternoon, Memories to Burn, Paper Rosie and many other hits.
  • Bring any memorabilia you want to share. Seating will be available at all venues, but it is advised to bring lawn chairs. You may want to sit on the street and count the oilfield related vehicles passing through town.
  • If you are a veteran or know of one from your class, please let your Class Rep know. If your name is not on the Veteran’s Memorial, we will get it on there. Please let Roxie Swain know.
  • If you have a classmate who is deceased, please let your class rep know. There is a website called http://jalpanthermemorials.com/ in honor of deceased classmates and school staff. They are listed by decades and classes. Check out this site to see if you have lost a class member. Please let Roxie Swain know.
  • Jal Historical Society – see attachment.
  • CAUTION: When traveling from the west to Jal DO NOT TAKE HWY 128 (AKA Death Hwy). From Artesia go to Loco Hills and take 529 to intersect the Carlsbad Hwy or go from Carlsbad to Hobbs to Jal. Highway 128 east of Jal is under construction, there are pilot cars. If coming through Andrews it is better to go Eunice and then south.
  • Below you will find a schedule of events, points of interest, eating establishments, and lodging suggestions.
